Doppelganger is a way to make use of turns where you have dead hands. My main issue with it is that you should not be aiming to build a deck that has dead hands in the 1st place. It also contributes to the problem of giving you a dead hand, as the card does nothing on its own. I think the best use of this card is upgrading it and playing it for zero energy as a way to draw one card and gain one energy at the cost of one card in your hand this turn. strangely enough, it can synergise well with flechettes, as the additional draws allow you to have a big hand which likely has a lot of skills in. Burst allows you to play this card twice which can be good value, but this card mostly only synergises with Chemical X for obvious reasons. If you have Chemical X I would strongly consider taking this card.
