Setup

Set up is a very difficult card to get any value out of. Not only do you have to draw an expensive card on the same turn as this card, you also are using two of the five cards that you get this turn to do nothing. It also doesn't have any benefit until the discounted card has been played. This is much too slow for higher ascensions and at best saves you 3 energy. If you draw set up, a good set up target comma and draw all on the same turn you can make use of the discount immediately. However this is extremely unlikely to happen and generally isn't worth it. The silent also does not have any 4 cost or 5 cost cards that could abuse this mechanic.
