Being able to deal 12 damage for zero energy is very tempting. It is however fairly difficult to ensure that you can play your one energy discard effect before playing this card in order to trigger the energy refund in the correct order. If you are playing a discard deck or have three or more discard cards in your deck anyway, this card can become fairly reliable, however its upside is fairly negligible for its difficult to set up. Note that tools of the trade and well laid plans allow you to always benefit from the discounted cost.
