It can be used to remove curses or status cards from your hand, or even remove niche cards that are not relevant to this encounter (such as an Evolve) or just generally low value (Strikes and Defends). Note that this card must be upgraded for you to be able to choose which card is exhausted, and as such it is highly recommended that this card is upgraded if selected. Slight exhaust synergy.
