Ball lightning is a decent pick up in act one as it allows you to fill your empty orb slots whilst doing damage. A lot of channel cards are skills which are not very effective versus the gremlin nob. that makes it particularly important if you are elite hunting in act one and it is still fine throughout later acts. It might be worth picking up multiple copies of ball lightning if you are running electrodynamics.
