Since eruption is the only source of wrath that you start with in the watcher, you do not want to remove this until you have drafted another source. It is clunky to use since it costs quite a lot of energy whilst not dealing very much damage, and being left in wrath leaves you open to counter attacks. Since the damage happens before you enter wrath, the damage is not even doubled. If you draught another source of wrath, in particular tantrum, it is then common to remove eruption from your deck. If you are planning to remove eruption, it is not recommended that you upgrade it. note that if you end the turn in wrath, you open yourself two more damage, not only on this turn but also all subsequent turns until you draw a source of calm. If Tranquilly is in your discard pile, take care when deciding to play eruption.
