What we think of Corruption

This card is an exceptionally powerful win condition, but it is also a risky strategy. Corruption is powerful on the first time through your deck but once your deck is reshuffled and all of your defensive capabilities have been exhausted the fights can become scary. This is why it is very important to be careful how early you cast corruption, particularly in fights that you expect to be long such as boss battles. This card in combination with dead branch is one of the most insane combos in the entire game, as each skill that you exhaust has a chance of generating another free skill and so on and so forth. I typically recommend running one or two Iron Waves in this deck just in case a fight just go longer than you expect it to and you still need a source of block. Barricade can also work very well with corruption as the block that you accumulate does not expire right away. Dark Embrace can lead to cycling your first deck shuffle very quickly too, for better or for worse, and Feel No Pain amps up the block gain.
