What we think of Clash

Although this card is powerful on earlier ascensions, as soon as Ascender’s Bane starts appearing in the deck this card becomes extremely unreliable. In theory, clash can be played so long as you play out the other skills and powers in your hand, but in practice this is often clunky, not optimal, or too expensive, and curses and status cards are often impossible to play out.
