What are Archetypes? 🎯
Archetypes are curated character-specific deck strategies that have been tried and tested to conquer even the highest ascensions. These are powerful strategies that benefit heavily from certain synergies or interactions, sometimes using game-breaking infinite combos or allowing you to deal absurd amounts of damage you couldn't achieve without fully committing to a certain tactic.
Why We Built This 💡
Slay the Spire is a game with incredible depth, and there are countless ways to build a winning deck. However, some strategies are particularly powerful when you fully commit to them. We wanted to create a resource that helps players discover these powerful archetypes and understand how to build them effectively.
Whether you're looking to try something new, understand why certain cards work so well together, or just want to explore different playstyles, our Archetypes section has something for every character.

A Note on Strategy 🎲
While these archetypes are powerful, by no means are they the only way to play and win. Sometimes you'll use a mixture of several archetypes combined together, or you may discover a new strategy altogether. That's part of what makes Slay the Spire so great - there's always something new to discover!
