Welder helper is a solid, reliable, and easy to find unit that slots into most decks. He synergises with builds that revolve around gaining armor but is still decent even in decks that don't require this. The Hellhorned clan has a lot of squishy units, and this can help to increase their survivability, even if it means simply putting this unit in front of one of them. Sometimes you will face enemies with sweep or with thorns, and this unit can prevent an inevitable death. The biggest downside to welder helper is that, if it survives, it takes up space on your train. This can easily be solved by hitting it with torch if the capacity is deemed important and placing the imp in the front is not an option.
